In **Argentina**, here’s what travelers need to know about electricity voltage and plug types:

## 🔌 Plug Types

- **Type C**: Two round pins (same as in most of Europe).
- **Type I**: Three flat pins in a triangular shape (unique to Argentina, similar to Australia but slightly different).
- Many sockets accept **both C and I**, but carrying a **universal adapter** is safest.

## ⚡ Voltage & Frequency

- **Voltage**: 220 V
- **Frequency**: 50 Hz
- This means:

  - Travelers from **Europe** (220–240 V) → devices will work fine with just a plug adapter.
  - Travelers from **North America/Japan** (110–120 V) → check your device. If it’s not **dual-voltage (110–240 V)**, you’ll need a **voltage converter**.

## ✅ Quick Tips

- Most laptops, cameras, and phone chargers are already **dual-voltage** (look for “Input: 100–240V” on the label).
- High-wattage appliances (hair dryers, straighteners, electric shavers) often are **not** dual-voltage → bring a **converter** or [buy locally](https://allaboutbuenosaires.com/where-to-buy-souvenirs-in-buenos-aires/).
- Power outages are rare but a **portable power bank** is handy.
