The San Telmo Sunday Market (Feria de San Telmo) is held every Sunday in the San Telmo neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
đź•™ Hours:
-
Officially runs from about 10:00 AM to 5:00–6:00 PM.
-
The antique fair at Plaza Dorrego is the historic core of the market, but nowadays the stalls stretch along Calle Defensa for nearly 10 blocks.
🎠What to expect:
-
Antiques (the original focus): furniture, art, books, vinyls, and collectibles.
-
Handmade crafts & souvenirs: jewelry, leather goods, mate sets, artwork.
-
Street performers & tango dancers: especially around Plaza Dorrego.
-
Food stalls & cafés: good for empanadas, choripán, or coffee breaks.
⚠️ Tips:
-
It gets very crowded after noon — best to go in the morning if you want to browse more calmly.
-
Keep an eye on your belongings (pickpockets target distracted tourists).
-
Some stalls accept card, but cash in pesos is still best.
